Busy, busy
9/22/2005
Things have been going very well lately, and I'm pretty happy about that. This past weekend was really fun and I'm really enjoying school now and especially the people I'm with. So far it's just been a whole lot better than last year was. Of course, last year I did like my classes, but I guess you can't have everything you want.

Sarah and I went to Burger King for breakfast early this morning after taking her roommate to the airport to go home. It was a good time, eventhough it was early in the morning. For some reason I was more awake this morning than when I wake up around 6:45. I'm glad we decided to go though, it was a good time.

Tomorrow I am heading home for the weekend. It will probably be boring and I'll miss being back at school, but it's only for a few days so I'll live.
NASA, please make something cool
9/16/2005
If you haven't already heard/seen pictures, NASA is planning on creating a new space vechicle using some shuttle parts. However, it won't be 'cool' like the current Shuttle is, it will be ugly and huge like old rockets.

Here's the official announcement.
I tried to find the picture I had seen before but couldn't find it in the few minutes I tried. Basically, the picture I saw was a multiple stage rocket-type design.

The MSNBC article says NASA is aiming for a 2018 moon landing, which to me seems like a long way off. I know they have to build and test the new spacecraft and everything, but that's over 10 years. At least what they plan to do sounds really cool.

Anyway, I'm glad it's Friday, today has been a tiring week. I've been fairly busy with school stuff, especially with enterprise stuff. We also started to get programs assigned to us in my computer science classes so I have to spend some time working on those.
All better

Friday just didn't turn out to be a good day for me, which you can see by that last post. The rest of the weekend was great though. Saturday I just hung around and talked to people online for most of the day. I had to do some homework too, but that didn't take very long. Later in the day we went to go watch The Longest Yard, this weeks campus movie. It's a good movie but the room was boiling, even at 11PM. Sunday some people came over to my room and we watched the Packers vs. Lions game. The Packers did absolutely horrible, but it was still fun to watch it with some people. Afterwards some of us went to get some pizza since we missed dinner and then came back to watch Family Guy, American Dad, Simpsons, and some other random shows. All in all it was a good night.

Today it is very hot outside. Actually, it isn't really THAT hot, but since it's so humid it is making it a whole lot worse than it actually is. I'm hoping it will rain and cool us down a little bit. I'm thinking I should do my homework in the Library today so I can get some air conditioning. Either that or go for a drive somewhere to cool off.
I don't know

The past few days have been interesting, to say the least. I won't go into details or anything but I've been pretty annoyed, confused, and lonely all at the same time. I guess you could say it put me right back where I was last week. So you can think of what could make that happen if you want.

Kday was pretty fun. I went with my roommate and a few friends and we basically just wandered around the whole time. We stayed pretty much the length of the day. Later in the evening we went to a cliff place, don't remember the name, and hung out there for a while. Some people wanted to take pictures of the stars but it wasn't a good night for that. We then came home and watched a movie. Overall, the day started pretty well but things didn't go too well towards the later portion of the day, probably because my mind started to wander.

I guess I'm glad homework is picking up now?

Tomorrow will be filled with homework and research for enterprise.
TIred
9/09/2005
This week has been pretty tiring so far. I thought I had gotten use to late nights and early mornings, since I have a 8am class every day except Monday, but I don't think I am used to it yet. I progressively get more tired every day until Friday and then I sleep in really late Saturday to 'catch up'.

Learning the differences between C++ and Java is turning out to be frustrating at times. C++ just seems more open and makes you do more of the stuff Java automatically took care of. Our first program is due Monday already and it was fairly challenging, especially trying to figure out where in the world the program was getting random characters and how to fix it. Thankfully, I think I'm all done with that now.

This weekend looks like it will be fun. Tonight I am probably going with some people to some place more north to take pictures of stars/other stuff. Saturday I don't have any plans yet but the Packers/Lions game is going to be on so hopefully I'll end up watching that. Unfortunately, I have a lot of reading to do for next week but I should have time to get it all done. Sunday I have an enterprise meeting and I'm not exactly sure how long it will last.
Labor Day!
9/05/2005
Today we had no classes!! I love Labor Day.

Last night I ended up playing cards with a bunch of friends in the basement of the dorm until around 2 in the morning. It was a good time. I found out I should probably learn how to play Euchre, since practically everyone else there knew how to play and it just ended up confusing me. That will be a project for later on in the semester.

I ended up waking up around noon today because of the late night. I fiddled around with some homework problems and studyed a little bit for a quiz tomorrow in Computer Organization. It doesn't seem like it will be that hard so I haven't been spending too much time on it. Later in the day I had an enterprise meeting, which went pretty well. The people on my team seem nice and smart so I don't think I'll have a problem working with them. I just have to read all the material about the last semester's work by Thursday. That pretty much summed up my day, not very exciting.

All weekend the weather was nice but today it got to around 85 and it was horrible in the dorms. Even now it's still 75 out and my arms are sticking to the table from typing this. Hopefully it will cool down tomorrow.
Sunday again

So I had a post typed up about how I went out tonight but Blogger refreshed the page and it went away.

Thanks Blogger.
3 Day Weekend
Yes, I have found a class to take over the throne of 'Worst Class Ever!'. Unfortunately, I have it three days a week. I cannot stand it already and I've only had it three times. Thankfully I only have it one time next week.

So far this weekend has been pretty good.

Friday: Just sat around on the Internet and wound up watching Constantine, which is a really cool movie.
Saturday: Some people from the hall, my roommate, and I went looking for waterfalls. We ended up going to two places. The first place was really fun and had 3 or 4 falls that we saw. The fun part was when we found the really big one. We decided to go down to the bottom of it down a pretty steep hill. It took a while but after we were down there it was worth it since it looked so tall. The way up was much easier. Afterwards we went to Perkins and then the campus movie.
Sunday: Woke up late, sat around, went to Wal-Mart, sat around some more.
